TALON 60 , 6S / 25.2V, 60 AMP ESC WITH 20 AMP BEC
Product #: 010-0163-00
SERIOUS POWER. SLIM PROFILE.
MORE POWER FPR THE WAY YOU FLY
The Castle Talon 60 steps up the Talon platform with the power and onboard electronics capability needed for larger, more demanding RC aircraft—while maintaining a slim, installation-friendly design.
Supporting 2S–6S LiPo power and up to 60 amps of continuous current, Talon 60 is designed for 360–450-size small-scale and aerobatic helicopters and .32–.60 scale, sport and aerobatic fixed-wing aircraft, with applications reaching up to 1,400 watts on 6S.
20A PEAK BEC. SELECT YOUR VOLTAGE.
The Talon 60 takes a major step forward in onboard power.
Its integrated BEC delivers 8 amps continuous and up to 20 amps peak, with user-selectable 6V or 8V output to accommodate a wider range of compatible servos and onboard electronics. The BEC defaults to 6V.
That high-output integrated BEC can simplify your power system while reducing the additional wiring and hardware required by a separate BEC in appropriate applications.
Always verify servo current requirements before first flight. Peak BEC output indicates amperage sustainable for 0.5 seconds.
PROGRAM IT FOR THE WAY YOU FLY.
Connect Talon 60 to Castle Link to configure the ESC around your aircraft and flying setup.
Depending on selected vehicle type, available settings include throttle and governor modes, brake behavior, voltage cutoff, Auto-LiPo settings, motor start power, timing, direction, PWM rate, Power-On Beep, Link Live and BEC voltage.
For helicopter applications, Talon provides Simple, Gov Low/High and Set RPM governor modes. Talon 60 also supports Direct Entry Governor, providing additional setup capability for helicopter pilots.

POWER SYSTEM ALERTS
Talon 60 uses audible motor tones and LED patterns to communicate ESC status and operating conditions.
Power System Alerts provide information for conditions including low-voltage cutoff, over-temperature, excessive load, start failure, radio signal issues, motor anomalies, over-current and BEC over-temperature, while additional indicators communicate power-up, arming, locked head speed and full-throttle status.VIEW TALON OPERATIONAL TONES & ERROR CODES
SLIM BY DESIGN.
More power doesn't have to mean a bulky installation.
Talon 60 measures just 65 × 30.2 × 10.6mm and weighs 57 grams with wires, giving builders 60A performance, a high-output BEC and Castle programmability in a relatively slim package.
Battery and motor connectors are sold separately, allowing you to select connectors appropriate for your power system. Installation requires soldering high-current connectors.DESIGNED, ASSEMBLED & SUPPORTED IN OLATHE, KANSAS, USA.

*RC HOBBY APPLICATION RATING: 60 amps for the duration of a single10,000 mAh battery pack with the ESC in contact with a 5-mph airflow of25C (77F) or cooler air. Controller temperature must never exceed 100C(212F). Exceeding current or temperature ratings may damage components and may shorten the life of the ESC. Always verify system current draw at full throttle. Decrease load or increase airflow to decrease the ESC’s operating temperature.
**Peak indicates amperage sustainable for 0.5 seconds - long enough for most servos' current draw transients. Always confirm servo servo current draw before the first flight of the model.
This is a high-power product with the potential to be very dangerous. Please read the safety information before use. This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and or birth defects or other reproductive harm.

| Power System Alerts: | The Talon ESCs are programmed to sound a number of tunes and codes using the motor as well as flashing LED patterns to alert users to certain conditions regarding their power system, such as over temperature, excessive load and locked head speed. |
| Telemetry Capable: | Telemetry has the potential not only to improve the safety of our models by monitoring battery voltages, ESC temperature, and other critical parameters, but it also creates other opportunities to get even more fun out of flying because you’ve essentially reduced the risks of “unknown” inevitable crashes. Think of the benefits to be had from alarms that will sound to warn you when there's interference about or if your receiver battery is running unexpectedly low. Requires purchase of Castle Telemetry Link for S.BUS2 (Item # 010-0152-00) and compatible Futaba Radio or Castle Telemetry Link for X-BUS (Item# 010-0148-00) and a compatible Spektrum Radio. |
| Warranty: | Castle Creations, Inc. warrants this product to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of one year from date of purchase. |
| Programmability: | Fully programmable Castle feature set using Castle Link USB adapter (sold separately) and freely downloadable Castle Link Windows software or the Castle Link iOS App and a B-Link Bluetooth Adapter . ( A small subset of the settings available through Castle Link Windows software can be accessed via manual programming through the transmitter stick). |
| Firmware Upgrade: | Users will receive free access to all firmware updates, including added features sets using the Castle Link USB Programming Kit. |
