The Castle Talon 90 delivers the power and control needed for larger RC helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, combining 90 amps ofcontinuous current capability with a high-output integrated BEC and Castle Link programmability.
Supporting 3S–6S LiPo power, Talon 90 is ideal for helicopter applications drawing up to 2,000 watts on 6S, including extreme500/550-class setups and sport 600-size helicopters.
Fixed-wing pilots can put that capability to work in aerobatic aircraft weighing up to 10 pounds and scale aircraft weighing up to20 pounds.
From demanding helicopter setups to larger fixed-wingbuilds, Talon 90 delivers the power to take your aircraft further.

More demanding aircraft often bring more demanding onboardelectronics.
Talon 90 incorporates an integrated BEC delivering 9 ampscontinuous and up to 20 amps peak, with user-selectable 6V or 8V output. TheBEC defaults to 6V.
This gives pilots flexibility when configuring compatible servos and onboard electronics while helping simplify the installation by reducing the need for separate BEC hardware in appropriate applications.
Always verify servo current requirements before firstflight. Peak BEC output indicates amperage sustainable for 0.5 seconds.

Castle Link puts Talon 90 configuration in your hands.
Depending on the selected vehicle type, available settings include throttle and governor modes, brake behavior, voltage cutoff, Auto-LiPo settings, motor start power, timing, direction, PWM rate, Power-On Beep, and BEC voltage.
For helicopter applications, Talon 90 supports Direct Entry Governor functionality, with available governor modes including Simple, Gov Low/High and Set RPM.
POWER SYSTEM ALERTS
Talon 90 uses audible motor tones and LED patterns to communicate ESC status and operating conditions.
Power System Alerts provide information for conditions including low-voltage cutoff, over-temperature, excessive load, start failure, radio signal issues, motor anomalies, over-current and BEC over-temperature, while additional indicators communicate power-up, arming, locked head speed and full-throttle status.

Talon 90 features a compact aluminum-case design measuring80 × 43 × 18mm and weighing 84.5 grams with wires.
Integrated 5.5mm female motor bullet connectors simplifymotor connections, and matching male connectors are included. The batteryconnector is sold separately.
When using motors with stiff wires, flexible silicone wireextensions are recommended to help prevent mechanical stress on the ESC'sfemale bullet connectors.
Technical note: The mounting bracket adds approximately 2mmto the depth and 8mm to the width.

*RC HOBBY APPLICATION RATING: 90 amps for the duration of a single 5,000mAh battery pack with the ESC in contact with a 5 mph airflow of 25C(77F) or cooler air. Controller temperature must never exceed 100C(212F). Exceeding current or temperature ratings may damage componentsand may shorten the life of the ESC. Always verify system current drawat full-throttle. Decrease load or increase airflow to decrease theESC’s operating temperature.
