Castle Creations motor and ESC combo recommendations for the Losi DBXL-E (1/5th scale):

Cobra 5 w/2028-800kv - Stock gearing (13/55) on 8s = ~40MPH
Cobra 5 HV w/2535-520kv* - 16T Pinion / 55T spur on 12s = ~50MPH
Cobra 5 HV w/2535-680kv* - Stock gearing (13/55) on 12s = ~55MPH

* - Requires optional motor mount - Vitavon works well and doesn't require shimming.

Note: All speed estimates are with stock tire diameter, high quality batteries and appropriately sized battery connectors.
Always monitor ESC, motor and battery temperatures on new setups or when changing gearing or batteries.
