Sponsored Pilot: Dave Lockhart

I have been building, designing, and flying Remote Controlled aircraft for 29 years from the age of six, learning from my Dad, a lifelong modeler. We fly together regularly and have made many lifelong friends in the hobby, whether at the local fields, trade shows, fly-ins, air shows, demos, or competitions. My primary interest is precision aerobatics (pattern), and after winning the US Nationals in Masters in 1998, I have been competing in the FAI – F3A class. With Dad’s coaching, I have been a consistent finalist at the US Nationals among some of the best pilots in the world. I enjoy flying a variety of planes including competition fun-fly, Quickie 500 racing, gliders, and freeflight. The last few years, I’ve increasingly spent time with 3-D and park fliers allowing me more flight time than ever before.
